The <strong>full-day event attracted over 110 senior members<\/strong>, blending <strong>health education, community bonding, delicious food, cultural entertainment, and interactive activities<\/strong> into a memorable experience for all attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Insightful Seminar on Dementia Awareness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The central focus of the day was a powerful <strong>seminar on \u201cAwareness of Dementia: Causes and Prevention; Healing with the Power of Music \u2013 Singing Bowl Sound Therapy\u201d<\/strong>, conducted by <strong>Dr. Paramjit Singh Khurana (MD)<\/strong> and <strong>Dr. Mrs. Harpreet Kaur<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The doctors provided an in-depth understanding of the <strong>causes, early symptoms, prevention strategies, and holistic remedies<\/strong> associated with dementia. They emphasized the role of <strong>music and sound therapy<\/strong> in promoting mental wellness among seniors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seminar was <strong>highly interactive<\/strong>, with attendees engaging in a <strong>Q&amp;A session<\/strong>, sharing personal experiences, and exploring practical ways to support brain health through lifestyle and community engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dignitaries, Welcome &amp; Opening<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seminar was graced by <strong>Chief Guest Paul Vicente<\/strong>, Regional Councillor, City of Brampton. In his remarks, Councillor Vicente <strong>commended the club\u2019s leadership<\/strong> in promoting health education among seniors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRaising awareness about dementia is crucial for our aging population. I commend PSB Seniors Club for its leadership in creating spaces where seniors can learn, connect, and stay healthy,\u201d said Councillor Vicente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event commenced with a <strong>warm welcome by Mr. G.S. Khakh<\/strong>, followed by a <strong>soulful Shabad Gurbani<\/strong> presented by Parvinder Singh Saral and others, setting a spiritual and uplifting tone for the day\u2019s proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Culture, Food, Gidha &amp; Networking<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the seminar, members enjoyed a <strong>cultural program<\/strong> by the <strong>Toronto Musical Group led by Mr. Rajiv Sood<\/strong>, featuring nostalgic melodies that created a joyful and celebratory atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>lunch hour turned into an engaging networking session<\/strong>, as seniors shared personal stories, exchanged health tips, and connected with one another over a <strong>lavish and delicious meal<\/strong>. This spirit of togetherness reflected the club\u2019s core mission of fostering community among seniors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most anticipated parts of the afternoon was the <strong>Tambola games<\/strong>, skillfully organized by <strong>Jatinder Paul<\/strong> and <strong>Jaswinder Daind<\/strong>. The segment generated <strong>great excitement and enthusiastic participation<\/strong>, with members laughing, cheering, and celebrating as winning numbers were called and prizes distributed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The festivities continued with <strong>vibrant Gidha and Bhangra performances<\/strong>, showcasing the energy and talent of the members. Many couples arrived in <strong>coordinated outfits<\/strong>, adding a festive and colorful charm to the celebration. The day\u2019s activities perfectly balanced <strong>learning with fun<\/strong>, making it both <strong>enriching and entertaining<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Acknowledgements &amp; Closing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his vote of thanks, <strong>Gian Paul, Vice President<\/strong>, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the <strong>guest speakers, dignitaries, volunteers, and members<\/strong> for their enthusiastic participation and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur seniors are the heart of our community.
